If Annastacia Palaszczuk says it's a "disaster" if she doesn't go to Tokyo, then she can make sure she "stops and picks up some Australians on the way back in her jet," says One Nation leader Pauline Hanson.
This comes as Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk faced backlash over her planned Tokyo trip, resulting in a petition calling for her to be denied the ability to travel.
In response she said she was told by John Coates, Australian Olympic Committee president, that it would be a "disaster if the head of Queensland did not go".
"She shuts down borders she stops people from operating their businesses, losing their incomes, their jobs, stopping people from actual access to hospitals, to see their loved ones buried and then she says 'I have to go' – what an absolute joke," Ms Hanson said.
'If you're going to go over there Palaszczuk well then make sure that you stop and pick up some Australians on the way back in your jet that can't get back home.
"That might be the only plus I can see of you going."
