Ancestry and your images: What you need to know about Ancestry's recent change in terms

Ancestry recently changed their Terms & Conditions, which affects what they can do with the content that you upload, including images and stories. Here's all of the details, including how you can delete images (if you're watching this before the end of August 2021). If you're watching this later, it's worth knowing what you're agreeing to if you upload an image to Ancestry.

This was originally done as a Facebook Live on 4 August 2021.

UPDATE: Ancestry changed its T&C again on 5 August 2021. They added language that the license terminates when the content is deleted from the service, but if you made the material public and others "shared or copied" it, it remains until everyone deletes it.
