Boris Johnson's government have finally decided to vaccinate 16 and 17 year olds, although still refusing to include younger children in the programme. This latest u-turn is, like most of the others, a welcome step in the right direction, but what is the reason? It doesn't make sense from a healthcare or scientific point of view in itself, so it's like a brexit competition with the EU that we are starting to lose that is the real cause.
