The Meng Wanzhou case is actually a good thing for China, no matter she will be set free or not. If Meng Wanzhou were sent to the US, China would gain the world's sympathy as a victim of the US, and it would not suffer any loss as it could forbid Hua Wei to compromise with the US through technology export restrictions. Even if the US got Miss Meng Wanzhou to the US, Hua Wei would not become another Alstom.
