MHZS CD88E - Remarkably good player despite mixed reputation.

This is a very good player despite the fact that the marketing department at MHZS got overzealous and declared that they have done a "completly new player from the ground up with brand new DAC. They were found out that this was in fact Burr-Brown PCM-1742.
But other well known companies got cought as well. One put complete Pioneer $400 player inside of theirs and only fitted some components to digital output, and the other one fitted Marantz CD-63 inside of their $20k player. The second of them is no longer in business but the first one still is.

Engineering however is still very good, it reads CDs instantaneously with 0,04mW of laser power (yes, even 20% less power than those Arcams with dCS DACs and they work at half power of other CD players), has balanced output and tubes both on the output and also doing the rectification (I presume).
VERY heavy, almost Wadia territory.
