The Taliban have essentially fired a female anchor at the state broadcaster.

The Taliban have essentially fired a female anchor at the state broadcaster.

While they are allowing women to work in the private sector, apparently the Taliban has a different policy in the public sector, at least for women who have served to anchor news broadcasts. While this does not violate the letter of their earlier statements regarding women's rights, I do see it as a violation of the spirit of these statements, and I do not approve of or agree with this most recent action.
