The Centre has filed an affidavit before the Supreme court of India informing them that the health ministry and the ICMR have come out with guidelines for issuing "official document" for Covid-related deaths. Earlier, the top court had asked the Centre to file a detailed compliance affidavit by September 11. This happened when the court was hearing a petition which was filed by lawyer Gaurav Kumar Bansal, seeking an ex-gratia compensation for those families who suffered the loss of a loved one due to coronavirus.
