Orphaned By COVID | 15-Year-Old Aryan Gives Up His Dreams of Becoming a Cricketer | The Quint

15-year-old Aryan Kandekar in Maharashtra’s Beed district is one of the many children orphaned by the pandemic across the state. Aryan wanted to become a cricketer but now is uncertain about his future. His mother Meena Kandekar died due to a heart attack in January 2021 and his father Sanjay Kandekar lost his life to coronavirus 5 months later, at the peak of the second wave of COVID.
