Who is IRCC Accountable to? | Chances of CRS 471 for FSW Draw

Disclaimer: This video is my personal opinion and as harsh as it may sound, I find IRCC has very little oversight on the conduct of its operations. While a parliamentary committee may question its operations and processes and recommend changes to the process, it may not be able to force IRCC to act on those changes, unless those are enacted in the law - IRPA/IRPR.

IRCC is a federal department and its mandate comes directly from the Immigration law set under IRPA/IRPR. It is headed by the Immigration Minister who in then is answerable to the cabinet and the parliament.
