As we enter the dark half of the year, we present a series of stories from our storytellers this Samhuinn, Tales From The Hearth. Between now and Samhuinn night, they will be telling tales and poems and singing songs connected to different aspects of our festival, and sharing them with you online.
This poem, which featured in the October 31st broadcast, explores the nature of the Cailleach, the Crone of Winter.
