How To Grow Peppers in Terra-cotta Clay Pots - Container Gardening // from Campbell's Freedom Farm

The Mediterranean countries have been growing pepper plants in tiny clay Terra Cotta pots and even their citrus fruit in medium clay pots with great success! The great thing about doing this is that you can bring the peppers inside during the winter, as we have at Campbell's Freedom Farm. We have had peppers in these tiny containers for years. These small containers fit perfectly on the window sill and will even produce a little in the winter. Another great benefit the Terra Cotta clay pots they let the roots breathe and since they’re not living in plastic containers we don’t have to worry about any chemicals or toxic issues.
Fun fact: How old is the Terra Cotta pot been used? Historians believe that the Chinese have been using it from 10,000 BCE. I would say that's ancient!
