CALL TO WORSHIP:
Psalm 119:89-91, 105-106 (NIV)
89 Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.
91 Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, the almighty, all-powerful, and all-knowing God; we come before You this morning with a desire to hear, learn, and obey Your truth. Through Your Word, You have given us insight into who You are, how You desire to relate intimately with all whom You have created, and what You have done on our behalf. In Your Word we learn of Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace. You also reveal how You call upon us to respond to Your great and awesome majesty!
As we come to worship You, O LORD, help us to draw near to You and be sensitive to the movement of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to bow down in gratitude to Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is Your Word made flesh. Help us to worship You in spirit and in truth, as You desire. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen!
