İzmir Model Factory

İzmir Model Factory which will increase productivity in the manufacturing industry and guide enterprises in digital transformation, has become operational in September 2020.

Capable of serving all sectors, Model Factory aims to increase the knowledge and capacity of companies in the fields of process improvement, energy efficiency, lean manufacturing, product development and digital transformation with experiential learning techniques. With the training and consultancy services it provides in a real factory environment, Model Factory supports businesses in making significant progress in terms of productivity, quality, cost and energy efficiency.

Model Factories and Innovation Centres operating in İzmir, Gaziantep and Mersin were established within the scope of the Turkey Resilience Project in Response to the Syria Crisis (TRP) carried out by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Aiming to boost innovation, digitalization, entrepreneurship and productivity in manufacturing, the centres will ensure a technology-oriented transformation of local manufacturing industry and trigger sustainable growth. The project is financed by the European Union (EU) and implemented in cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology.
