(Asosan) erupted at 11:43 local time, the eruptive column rises 3.5 km above the Naka Dake crater and disperses to the southeast. It was accompanied by 1 km long pyroclastic flows. After the explosion, the alert level is immediately raised to Orange (Level 3)
Ash fall is reported in the cities of Aso, Takamori and Minamiaso. They project that the fall of fine volcanic material could fall towards the southeast, it is expected that the ash will arrive in small quantities in localities of the Prefectures of #Kumamoto and #Miyazaki.
At the moment there are no people injured. Mount #Aso, in the #Kyushu region, in the south of the country, presented an increase in its internal activity in the previous weeks, which forced the alert level to be raised to yellow (Level 2) on October 13. Mount (caldera) #Aso, also known as #Asosan, is one of the most active in the Japanese country, however, this explosion can be considered the largest since the last eruptive process recorded in 2016.

(Asosan) entró en erupción a las 11:43 hora local, la columna eruptiva se eleva a 3.5 km sobre el cráter Naka Dake y se dispersa hacia el sureste. Estuvo acompañado por flujos piroclásticos de 1 km de extensión.
Tras la explosión ascienden inmediatamente el nivel de alerta a Naranja (Nivel 3)
Reportan caída de ceniza en las ciudades de Aso, Takamori y Minamiaso. Proyectan que la caída de material volcánico fino podrían caer hacia el sureste, se espera que la ceniza llegue en pequeñas cantidades en localidades de las Prefecturas de #Kumamoto y #Miyazaki. De momento no hay personas heridas.
El Monte #Aso, en la región de #Kyushu, al sur del país, presentó un aumento en su actividad interna semanas previas, el que obligaron a elevar el nivel de alerta a amarilla (Nivel 2) el pasado 13 de octubre.
El monte (caldera) #Aso, también conocido como #Asosan, es unos de los más activos del país nipón, sin embargo, esta explosión puede ser considerada la mayor desde el último proceso eruptivo registrado el 2016.
