Russian forces intensify attacks in eastern Ukraine, continuing attacks on Kyiv | Ukraine latest

Ukrainian officials say the Russian military is continuing attacks on the capital, Kyiv and the northern city of Chernihiv. That's despite Russia's pledge on Tuesday to drastically reduce military activity in both places. Moscow's continued assault is fueling skepticism that peace talks in Turkey achieved any meaningful progress. Meanwhile Russian forces are also intensifying attacks in the east of Ukraine. In the besieged port of Mariupol, the situation is growing more desperate by the hour.
